Today our lead singer Martin Nørlev announced his exit from Unbelief. The decision has been some time underway so it wasn’t that much of a shock to the rest of the band. We talked in peace and quiet about his decision, and let’s stress there’s no bad blood.
Martin states:
“For some time I’ve given much thought to my role in the band and the band’s role in my life, and I’ve decided that I’m not properly motivated to continue on this journey. The ride has been one hell of a blast but it’s time for me to move on with other projects in my life. When I look back at all the milestones we’ve passed as a band, I feel almost blessed to have had such great experiences. For that I wish to thank present and past members of the band, our fans, our crew, the bands we’ve played with, all personnel, our friends and family, and all those in between. Thanks for the ride!”
Martin was one of the founding members of Unbelief and has been with the band for 4½ years now. This is the end of an era for the band, but Unbelief will continue. Just don’t expect to hear what you already know.
